The latest hot spot for Dupont Circle lounge lizards, this 'hookah bar' is brought to you by the team who started the magnificent Chi-Cha Lounge. With a fantastic patio overlooking Connecticut Avenue, expect to find suits, style slaves and Capitol Hill interns sipping martinis and cosmos in the open air while those who've come a little late look to pounce on the spare tables from inside. The interior is all modish glass and metal, with low-slung wood tables that are instantly eye-catching. True, it can be a little hard to lie back and relax, but the friendliest mingling is always done standing up anyway. Card swapping takes place over apple martinis and although a gay professional crowd tends to dominate, it's relaxed and stylish enough for all to feel at home, though it does get busy at peak times and the music can get a little loud if you're after a quiet night (especially later on, when they tend to ramp it up a bit). When it gets rammed the service may be less attentive than you'd like, though the staff do tend to be friendly and helpful even if occasionally they seem a little overwhelmed. Bar snacks are mainly sushi and similar (nobody really comes here for the food). The happy hour is also popular, offering some good deals if you're on a budget (though in fairness this isn't a particularly pricey spot even outside of happy hour, which goes a long way to explaining its perennial popularity with the twentysomething crowd).
